Project Officer – Vitality Group / South Yorkshire Housing Association (SYHA)
Are you passionate about making a real difference to people's lives and tackling climate change? We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join our Asset Strategy and Sustainability Team at South Yorkshire Housing Association (SYHA).
Overview
In this role, you’ll use your organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem‑solving ability to ensure our energy efficiency programmes run smoothly. You’ll play a vital part in delivering funded retrofit projects, supporting compliance, managing data, and contributing to our ambitious goal of achieving EPC C for all homes by 2030.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and monitor funded retrofit projects to ensure timely delivery.
* Support compliance and manage data collection for audits and funding bodies.
* Compile evidence and prepare reports for funding agencies.
* Assist with wider asset strategy activities, including property disposals and lease management.
* Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and residents to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Strong communication skills and collaborative working style.
* Passion for delivering quality homes and customer service.
* Problem‑solving mindset and a flexible, positive approach.
* Experience in project administration, compliance monitoring, or financial tracking preferred.
* Knowledge of sustainability principles and retrofit standards (PAS 2035, EPC) is a bonus; training will be provided.
Benefits
* Salary: £29,190 per annum (Grade 4A)
* Working hours: 37 hours per week
* Generous holiday entitlement: 27 days annual leave, statutory bank holidays plus an additional 4 SYHA days, pro‑rated.
