You'll also play a crucial role in being the face of the Housing Options service at multi-agency meetings and other key meetings with professionals involved with the client group. You will be heavily involved in internal meetings to drive change and improvements across the service.
The role
This role offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering Rough Sleeper services across North Yorkshire and to lead the team. Reporting to the Housing Needs Service Manager, you will facilitate a comprehensive Rough Sleeper response for the most vulnerable clients in housing need.
You will support the objectives of the Council's Homelessness Strategy, aiming to prevent rough sleeping and help households achieve sustainable housing solutions.
Applicants should have a strong understanding of current housing issues related to homelessness and rough sleeping. Experience in assessing needs, providing housing advice, and offering effective solutions is desirable. Knowledge of equality, diversity, Health and Safety legislation, and safeguarding is essential. Leadership experience in managing high-performing teams to meet targets is also preferred.

* Understanding of housing issues, homelessness legislation, landlord-tenant law, and safeguarding.
* Operational management skills to ensure office coverage and staff availability.

* Professional qualification in a relevant field.
A valid UK driver's license and access to a vehicle for work purposes are required.
