The Role:
 
Our client is a leading global organisation and they are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a growing IT team responsible for maintaining and enhancing a large-scale infrastructure environment. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the performance, security, and reliability of business-critical network services.
 
Working across networking, telecommunications, security, and server infrastructure, you'll be involved in both project delivery and BAU support, helping to ensure a resilient and high-performing technology environment.
 
Responsibilities:

Designing, implementing, and maintaining LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments
Managing network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and associated infrastructure
Supporting and optimising VoIP and unified communications systems
Monitoring network performance and proactively identifying areas for improvement
Troubleshooting complex connectivity and infrastructure issues
Managing server connectivity and supporting core IT services
Assisting with disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning
Working with third-party suppliers and technology partners
Maintaining accurate network documentation and technical records
Contributing to network security initiatives, audits, and compliance activities
Supporting infrastructure upgrades and technology improvement projects The Person:

Previous experience in a Network Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer position
Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and enterprise networking technologies
Experience supporting and troubleshooting VoIP solutions
Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices
Experience working with routing, switching, and wireless technologies
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Experience supporting server and infrastructure environments
Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
