Private Rented Services Officer - Fixed Term Until 31/05/2027

Salary: £30,188 - £34,452
Hours: 36 per week
Assist in the delivery of high‑quality, customer‑focused outcomes in relation to the licensing function on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council.
In particular, the post holder will carry out a range of duties including:
* Providing advice, information and guidance to customers and partners
* Conducting property inspections
* Carrying out investigations and enforcement activities to ensure landlords comply with all relevant legislation
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that they operate in accordance with all relevant legislation and follow all licensing policies and procedures.
This position is subject to a Basic Disclosure check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of three months or more abroad within the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. These checks must be satisfactory for an unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and then increases annually until it reaches the top of the range.
