As the UK National AOC Safety and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and continuously improving group compliance across various disciplines of aviation regulation, health, safety, and environmental performance. Reporting to the Director UKSAR, FISARSH & FOST, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implementing and supporting a program of monitoring and auditing to ensure high levels of safety and compliance assurance.
2. Managing the AOC event investigation process and conducting Safety Investigations when required.
3. Facilitating Safety Review Boards and Safety Action Groups.
4. Providing detailed reports and analysis of safety issues or trends.
5. Oversight of the Environmental Management System for the UK National AOC.
6. Planning and controlling the audit cycle to meet regulatory and client requirements.
Technical Requirements:
7. Acceptable to the CAA/EASA to hold CAA/EASA Form 4.
8. Minimum 5 years of experience in Compliance within the aviation sector or other complex industry.
9. Detailed knowledge/understanding of ISO, CAA, and EASA regulations.
10. Proven experience in aircraft engineering, flight operations, ground operations, or verification (Part & CAMO).
11. Detailed understanding of Compliance requirements and Aviation Management System requirements.
12. 3 or more years of supervisory experience or leadership role.
Qualifications:
13. Recognized academic qualification at the undergraduate level or equivalent in Safety Management Systems Principles and Practices.
14. Training in CAA/EASA regulation in air operations and continued airworthiness.
15. Lead Auditor qualification for ISO 1:5.
16. Incident/Accident investigation training and experience.
17. Human Factors Training.
18. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
