Are you an experienced Development/Project Engineer with experience in the electrical insulator field or similar, looking to become an expert in the field with one of the UK's market leader in their specialized industry.

This specialized manufacturer has been established for 100+ years and have become a trusted partner to a large client base across the globe. Due to high levels of demand and growth, the business is looking to add to their close-knit team and invest in the development of the successful candidate.
In this role, you will be supporting in the product development of electrical insulators with a high level of responsibility throughout the process including designing, testing, and technical approvement. There will also be occasional travel included whereby you will meet with overseas clients and suppliers to build relationships and understand requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the product development of switch gear/ electrical insulators/ electrical transmission, or similar electrical power products with use of CAD software. Additionally, the candidate will hold relevant engineering qualifications such as Electrical Power or Structural Engineering, and be willing to meet with overseas clients.

The Role
1. High level of responsibility throughout the product development process
2. Development of insulator products
3. Product design
4. Product testing
5. Technical approval
6. Ensuring standards/regulations are met
7. Occasional overseas travel to meet with clients across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East
The Person
Experience designing, testing, and developing switch gear, electrical insulators, or similar electrical power products
Understanding of electricity with transmission and distribution networks
Understanding of electrical insulators
CAD software experience
Relevant engineering qualification Electrical Power, Structural Engineering or similar
SolidWorks experience (desirable)
