Role Overview
We are recruiting for a Customer Service Consultant working 36 hours per week to support branch operating hours at our Guiseley and Leeds branches. The role includes engaging in conversations to find out customers’ needs, providing information about our full savings range, products and services, and helping them review circumstances and goals, while providing straightforward help that lets our enthusiasm and professionalism shine through. We support customers face to face, virtually, and through outbound contact, promoting products and resolving problems with a customer‑first mindset. We are recruiting a permanent position working full time 36 hours per week. The salary is £25,500 (depending on experience) per annum plus a range of benefits.
Responsibilities
* Be the First Point of Contact: warmly welcome customers, both in‑branch and over the phone.
* Engage and Understand: ask insightful questions to uncover and understand customers’ needs.
* Listen and Tailor Solutions: listen carefully to each customer’s unique circumstances and offer personalized solutions.
* Proactive Outreach: proactively reach out to customers over the phone, identifying their needs and discussing how we can support them.
* Maintain Accurate Records: use internal systems to keep customer records up‑to‑date and accurate, with a special focus on identifying and supporting vulnerable customers.
Qualifications
* Experience interacting with customers in person or over the phone.
* Previous experience in a bank or building society, or in a contact centre, retail, food & beverage, guest services or health/care sector.
* Ability to work well alongside others, with a “one‑team” mindset.
* Ability to react fast when the day gets busy and handle a wide variety of customers with excellent time management.
* Desire and ability to grow, adapt and change whilst accommodating business needs and priorities.
