Open Position:
Our client are searching for 11kV Substation Project Manager to be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of 11kV substation projects, from initial feasibility and design through construction, commissioning, and handover. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant technical, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage the full project lifecycle for 11kV substation projects, including new build, reinforcement, refurbishment, and extension works.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, programmes, and budgets.
Ensure effective coordination between design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising resources and activities to meet delivery milestones.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Proven experience delivering 11kV substation or similar electrical infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of distribution network operations and substation construction practices.
* Experience working within regulated environments (e.g. UK DNOs, ICPs, or major utilities).
* Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, budgets, and complex project programmes.
* Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations, health and safety management, and risk control.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
* Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP) or demonstrable equivalent experience.

* Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum
