Characteristics of a lead coach?
A lead coach is the game changer in our clubs. Playing a crucial role that inspires and educates children through planned and targeted activities. A lead coach is kind, upbeat and has an empathetic and compassionate approach to working with and supporting children. A lead coach leads from the front and is a great role model for children and their support staff. You work well under pressure and in times of crisis, you make sound decisions and have the well being of the children and your support staff at the forefront of your mind. You will be a competent communicator and you will engage with staff and parents on a regular basis. Ensuring that professional boundaries are always adhered to.
Key responsibilities of your role
Plan and deliver activities to your target group
Ensure your support staff are aware of the session and the preferred outcomes
Ensure all equipment is suitable for the sessions
Ensure all children are kept safe
Ensure children are having fun and sessions are inclusive
Ensure all policies are adhered to and all necessary paperwork is complete
Report all incidents to the manager and to complete relevant paperwork

The successful applicant will be invited to an official on boarding process where by Active8 Minds will pay for additional induction training as well as a complete DBS.

- Undertake relevant safeguarding qualifications & training
- Report & monitor safeguarding concerns

Qualifications
* Strong background in sports coaching
* Experience in teaching and mentoring individuals or teams
* Knowledge of various sports techniques and training methods
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to motivate and inspire Children
* Certification in sports coaching
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
