We are seeking a pro-active, self-motivated and enthusiastic person for the role of Recruitment Events and Outreach Assistant. The successful candidate will support the successful planning and delivery of a wide range of on campus and virtual recruitment events including University Open Days, Experience Days, Taster Days, postgraduate events, campus visits and bespoke events for a wide range of stakeholders including schools, colleges and other external partnership organisations to promote the University of Bradford and enable the University to achieve its recruitment targets.
What You Will Be Doing
* The Recruitment Events and Outreach Assistant will support the successful planning and delivery of a wide range of on campus and virtual recruitment events including University Open Days, Experience Days, Taster Days, postgraduate events, campus visits and bespoke events for a wide range of stakeholders including schools, colleges and other external partnership organisations. The post holder will also support the Outreach and Recruitment Team to effectively deliver a high volume of outreach activities on / off campus and virtually.
* Under the guidance of the Recruitment Events Coordinator manage the organisation and delivery of the Higher Education school experience programme. This will include booking ambassadors, attendance at events, providing supervision and being the main point of contact during each event.
* The role will support with the set-up and delivery of Outreach webinars and with Outreach social media activity.
* The role holder will support the Recruitment Events and Outreach Team with administrative tasks such as agendas, meeting minutes, stationery orders, laundry, travel bookings, and respond to enquiries in shared inboxes.
* Working closely with colleagues in marketing, the Recruitment Events and Outreach Assistant will develop content for recruitment event presentations, printed and online marketing material for prospective students and key influencers including parents and carer and teachers and advisors.
* The University operates a hybrid working model, but there is an expectation that individuals are available to work on campus to meet service demand. This role will require the postholder to be on campus for the set up and delivery of open days, experience days, HE Experience School Visits and other key events.
Qualifications/ Experience
* A good standard of education including GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
* Customer service experience face to face, via telephone and email in a professional manner
* Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to target communications to the appropriate audience
* Experience of supporting the delivery of events, targeted at a wide range of audiences.
* Experience of supervising temporary staff and/or student ambassadors
* Ability to prioritise and organise own workload
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Experience of using CRM systems/ databases to input and manage data
