Main duties of the job
In this role, you will spend your time alongside people who live in a nursing and care home, supporting them to live each day as comfortably and confidently as possible, with careful attention to their wellbeing.
As a nurse, you will help with everyday routines, always treating people with dignity, respect, and kindness.
You will also take time to notice what matters to each person and support them to stay connected to their interests and abilities.
All care is guided by individual care plans, and you will work closely with the nursing team and manager to make sure support is safe, consistent and person‑centred.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure the highest standards of person‑centred care are delivered at all times by undertaking accurate assessment and planning of care, delivery, and ongoing evaluation of the care plans.
* Carry out nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions.
* Commit to acting in line with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, maintaining registration requirements.
* Work as a team player to supplement the staffing team, motivated and approachable to all levels of care staff.
Your experience will include a minimum of 1 year working in a nursing home as a qualified nurse (RGN).
Person Specification
* Active NMC Pin
* 1 year experience of working as an RGN in a nursing home
Entitlement To Work
* Must hold entitlement to work – either as a British national or a valid work visa with at least 12 months remaining. Sponsorship is not offered for this role.
