The Opportunity
As Key Account Director, you will provide strategic leadership across a sophisticated hard‑services environment, ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑performing operations across the entire estate.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team, strengthen influential client partnerships, and champion a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

* Hard & Technical Services (Primary Focus)
* Soft FM
* Security
* Catering
* Capital Projects & Minor Works
* Workplace Experience & Customer Engagement
This is a role for a director who understands the complexities of managing a large campus estate and who can steer both the operational and strategic agenda.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic oversight of all operational delivery across a large, technically intensive estate.
* Lead, motivate, and develop high‑performing engineering and FM teams, instilling a culture of accountability, ownership, and excellence.
* Ensure robust technical and statutory compliance, particularly across M&E systems and critical infrastructure.
* Build trusted, senior‑level relationships with the client, acting as the primary point of escalation and strategic adviser.
* Drive commercial performance, owning the P&L and identifying opportunities for efficiencies, value‑add initiatives, and long‑term investment.
* Oversee contractor and supply chain performance to ensure maximum value and alignment with service standards.
* Implement forward‑thinking operational strategies, engineering innovations, and campus‑wide improvements.
* Shape a resilient, customer‑centred workplace environment for thousands of campus users.
What Youll Bring
* A hard services / technical FM background with deep familiarity in M&E, engineering operations, and campus‑scale estates.
* Experience leading the end‑to‑end management of a large, complex estate or multi‑building campus (essential).
* A leadership style that inspires confidence—able to motivate large teams and communicate with clarity, authority, and impact.
* Strong command of compliance frameworks, health & safety, and safe systems of work in high‑risk technical environments.
* A track record of building strong, senior‑level client relationships and influencing at executive level.
* Demonstrable experience improving operational performance, developing engineering teams, and delivering large projects.
* Commercial acumen with the ability to drive value, control budgets, and grow account potential.
