1:1 Learning support assistant – Primary School (SEN Support)
Location: Shirley, Southampton
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, term time only
Contract: Full-time
Pay: £14.25 per hour
We’re currently looking for a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a welcoming primary school setting in Shirley, Southampton.
This role would suit someone with a calm, patient, and nurturing nature who enjoys building positive relationships and helping children feel supported, confident, and safe in school each day. Your consistent support will play a key role in helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the Role
* Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN
* Supporting small intervention groups when needed
* Helping to create a positive and structured learning environment
* Working closely with teachers and school staff to support pupil progress
What We’re Looking For
* At least two years of employment history
* A caring, patient, and supportive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
