Stowe School is seeking a reliable and skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join our busy Estates Team.
In this hands-on role, you’ll support the maintenance and upkeep of our historic school estate, working across a range of trades including locksmithing, plumbing, decorating, fire door repairs, and flooring works (carpet tiles, vinyl, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
* Respond to requests via our maintenance system (HALO) promptly and professionally.
* Work closely with the Estates Team and wider school staff to ensure minimal disruption to school life.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety and regulatory standards (CDM, COSHH, BS standards).
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in multi-trade maintenance roles.
* Good working knowledge of H&S regulations and safe working practices.
* A team player with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate, located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. It is an independent co-educational boarding school with approximately 900 pupils and around 500 full and part-time staff, including staff and their families living on site.
