The Ideal Person
* A primary degree in an environmental or related discipline.
* Knowledge, understanding and working experience of environmental/PPC permitting and consent requirements.
* Knowledge, understanding and working experience of ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
* Working experience of Environmental & EMS auditing/inspection.
* 2 years' experience in a related field.
Responsibilities
* Manage and develop the ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS), supporting the wider organisation and Environmental Working Groups (EWGs).
* Ensure compliance with PPC permits, discharge consents, and other environmental obligations.
* Oversee and coordinate waste management activities.
* Assess potential environmental impacts of site and contractor activities.
* Identify and implement solutions to maintain compliance and drive continuous environmental improvement (e.g. waste, water, air, energy).
* Maintain systems to track environmental performance data (e.g. waste, air, VOCs, water emissions) to support improvement efforts.
* Prepare professional reports to meet stakeholder needs.
* Manage contractor environmental evaluations and compliance arrangements.
