The Brotherhood of Pursuits & Pastimes, an independent sports bar founded over a decade ago, is on the lookout for a Bar Manager to join our team. We've built our reputation on creating a sporting experience like no other – a place that brings the stadium atmosphere into the bar while serving an exciting range of speciality food and drinks.
We're seeking someone with strong character, energy, and a passion for hospitality to help lead our Manchester site. Last year we invested into a major refurbishment for the business – so you'll be stepping into a first-class space, with the opportunity to make your mark.
Our regulars feel like family to us, so you'll need to be someone who enjoys building relationships as much as running a smooth operation.
What You'll Be Doing
As Bar Manager, you'll support the General Manager in the daily running of the venue, with a focus on leading the bar team and maintaining high standards. Your duties will include:
* Opening and closing the venue
* Managing stock, ordering, and cellar management
* Overseeing cash handling and bar controls
* Training, coaching, and motivating your team to deliver excellent service
* Ensuring the bar is set up for service and running smoothly at all times
* Engaging with guests to create memorable experiences
What We Offer You
We believe in looking after our team as much as we look after our guests. Here's what you can expect when you join The Brotherhood:
* Competitive salary of £29,000 per year + bonus opportunities
* 29 days paid holiday, including an extra day during Christmas week
* 30% discount on food and drinks across all our sites
* Deposit-free bookings for you and your friends at major sporting events
* Company pension and sick pay
* Flexible scheduling to support your lifestyle – from Sunday League football to family roasts, we understand life outside of work matters too
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with proven experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality who's ready to step up. You'll need to be:
* A confident leader who can inspire and support your team
* Organised and reliable, with good attention to detail
* Personable and approachable, committed to delivering excellent guest experiences
* Passionate about hospitality, sport, and creating a great atmosphere
If you're ready to bring your personality, leadership, and passion for hospitality to one of the most exciting sports bars in Manchester, we'd love to hear from you
