We are currently looking for a Senior Technician to join our friendly team based at Tarmac Cloddach Sand and Gravel Quarry, Elgin, near Inverness. This is a mobile role covering various sites in the Caledonian region, including Keith, Lossiemouth, Nairn, and Inverness. The role is easily accessible from Elgin, Forres, Kinloss, Lossiemouth, and surrounding areas.

Role Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Senior Technician will be responsible for sampling and testing aggregates and concrete products at various sites. The role also includes:
* Carrying out technical testing in accordance with BS EN Standards and accreditations
* Promoting awareness of safety policies and procedures
* Ensuring timely and safe testing of products and constituents
* Documenting testing procedures clearly and communicating them effectively
* Maintaining a strong HSE culture on-site and within the department
* Supporting a zero-harm safety culture
* Understanding the business value of accurate and fast testing services
* Supporting continuous improvement and business optimization
The Ideal Candidate
The suitable candidate will have laboratory experience in the construction sector, with knowledge of aggregate and/or concrete testing and production. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring wearing Hi-Viz PPE and working closely with operational concrete plants.
Candidates must possess a UK driving license and be willing to travel between sites. Additionally, they should be:
* Hardworking and self-motivated
* Excellent communicators capable of liaising with stakeholders at various levels
* Accurate and detail-oriented, with an ability to identify risks (training provided)
* Capable of working independently and as part of a team
* IT literate
* Numerically proficient, with good calculation and interpretation skills
* Flexible in working approaches
* Health and Safety conscious
