About the Company

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to expand their team with the addition of an experienced Electrical Estimator in Plymouth.
The Role
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre‑construction phase, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of electrical engineering projects. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients, you will ensure all tenders are commercially sound and aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates from drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
* Analyse project requirements and identify potential risks and opportunities.
* Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
* Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive tender submissions.
* Attend site visits and pre‑tender meetings where required.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market rates, materials, and industry standards.
* Support the handover process to project delivery teams upon successful bids.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within an engineering or construction environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and installations.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office tools.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
* Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
