Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting for a nurse qualified deputy manager to join the team at a nursing home in Church Stretton. Are you an experienced nurse leader with a passion for delivering outstanding care and supporting staff development?
About the Role
As the Deputy Nurse Manager, you’ll work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the highest standards of clinical care and compliance are maintained. You’ll take an active role in leading the nursing team, managing clinical audits, supporting with staff training, and ensuring a positive, caring environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day clinical operations and ensure high standards of nursing care
Support, mentor, and develop the nursing and care team
Conduct clinical assessments and care planning
Ensure compliance with CQC standards and company policies
Deputise for the Home Manager when required
About You
Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
Proven longevity in previous nursing or management roles – we’re looking for stability and commitment
Strong clinical and leadership skills with a hands-on approach
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
