We have recently gained a new package of care bringing many fresh and exciting opportunities to join our team in Gateshead.
We are looking for compassionate and committed Healthcare Assistants, who are passionate about delivering the highest quality one-to-one care for our service user.
Meet our service user
Our new service user is a cheerful girl who lives with her loving family in Gateshead, she requires support with her complex care needs throughout the day and night.
She loves story time and exploring with her sensory lights and activities. She really enjoys arts, crafts, walks in the park, and spending time at the beach.
Throughout the day you will accompany her to her educational setting, supporting with her personal care, moving, and handling, and attending to her clinical care needs when required. You will engage with her learning, promote social interaction, and ensure her comfort throughout the day.
Throughout the night you will observe her clinical needs acting appropriately when needed, provide support with personal care, repositioning and provide a safe and peaceful environment to promote a restful night’s sleep.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team
Essential Experience Required
1. 3 months previous care experience
2. Personal Care
3. Moving and Handling
4. Medication Administration
Desirable Experience
5. PEG Feeding
6. Oxygen Management
7. Epilepsy management
8. Oral suctioning
We have the following shifts available;
9. Full Time & Part Time Days
10. Days- Between the hours of 7:00am - 6:00pm
11. Part Time Nights- 7:00pm - 8:00am
12. Alternate weekend availability is needed for this position
Take a look at our payrates
Weekdays: £15.00 per hour (Approx. £165 per 11-hour shift)
Weeknights: £15.00 per hour (£195 approx. per 13-hour shift)
Weekends: £15.00 per hour (£195 approx. per 13-hour shift)
Bank Holiday: £17.50 per hour (£227.50 approx. per 13-hour shift)
