Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our Night Team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities and implementing care plans tailored to each individual's needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
* Implement and follow personalised care plans to meet the specific needs of each individual.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
* Foster a supportive and engaging environment through effective communication and companionship.
* Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring safe transportation for clients.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Skills
* Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial.
* Strong IT skills for maintaining documentation and using electronic health records.
* Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
