Position
Accounts Payable role within the Accounts Payable Department, Financial Services, based at Falkirk Community Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Process transactions on the creditors sub ledger within the financial management system.
* Maintain full liaison with budget holders and ensure all suppliers are paid within agreed credit limits.
* Ensure payments comply with NHS Forth Valley Standing Documents, Financial Operating Procedures, and the Prompt Payment Policy.
* Provide clerical and administrative support to the Accounts Payable Manager and Accounting Services Manager through the maintenance, development, and production of financial reports.
Qualifications
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Good working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing packages.
* Educated to Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) Foundation Level/NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in a large organisation’s accounts payable systems function.
* Successful completion of a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.
Benefits and Working Hours
Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
