Job Purpose
The GIS Technical Analyst will support the business and GIS Technical Specialist with complex GIS queries and requirements, providing bespoke analysis and tools to aid stakeholders in effective decision-making.
This role involves offering innovative solutions to add value to spatial data and improving processes through the full suite of GIS applications
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Production of FME and GIS workflows that will enable accurate repeatable analysis to be implemented across the business
Support the wider UU GIS community by acting as a focal point for UU GIS Champions and Data Stewards, sharing knowledge through user guides, 1-2-1 and team meetings
Actively engage with teams around the business to identify ways of standardising workflows and data to provide both better quality and more efficient processes
Analysis and production of spatial data as required through business requests
Provide specialist services for business requests and projects to support better business decisions and to improve the quality and accuracy of reporting to external bodies such as OFWAT, the DWI and the EA.
