Balfour Beatty (CPS) have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Test Manager to join our growing team in South Mimms
The successful candidate will have experience of defining, maintaining, and running tests for a range of software applications (browser and app-based). Experienced in the asset management or highways industry will be beneficial. They will have experience in different stages of testing and will know how to set these up and run them to help ensure high quality products are delivered to our stakeholders. Testing stages will include ad hoc testing, unit testing, integration testing, UAT and potentially automated testing.
This is a great opportunity for a QA professional to establish, shape and run a testing capability in a high-profile business, working on a wide range of established and new projects.
What you'll be doing
* Set up, maintain, and run test suites for browser and app-based applications.
* Set up a range of testing plans and capabilities, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT and potentially test automation.
* Manage and track bugs / issues.
* Contribute to the requirements and design stages of projects, bringing testing knowledge and planning to the process.
* Collaborate closely with project team members and stakeholders, building effective relationships.

Who we're looking for
The following skills/experience are essential:
* At least three years experience in software testing, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT and potentially automated testing
* Ability to trace data flows through client-server systems and diagnose issues
* Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Highly organised and with attention to detail
* MS Office (Word, Excel), MS Project, Test automation tool
The following skills/experience are desirable:
* Understanding of spatial data and linear referencing systems / models
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills
* Flexible, motivated and able to persevere in challenging situations.
