Solicitor - Corporate Commercial Worcester based with a balance of home and office working £48,611 - £51,169 per year 35 hours per week We have an opportunity for a Solicitor - Corporate Commercial to join our Corporate Commercial team, based in Worcester. This role sits within Legal Services which provides legal assistance and support to the Group to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are met. The role of Solicitor - Corporate Commercial will include: Managing a caseload of issued cases through to settlement or trial Providing support to the senior team within Legal Services in overseeing the in-house Corporate Commercial team Liaising with the Group's external legal providers and supporting the senior legal team in managing legal spend and invoice analysis Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and Group financial procedures to protect the interests and reputation of the Group Ensuring that legal services are delivered in a cost effective way that limit risk to the Group Setting and overseeing financial and performance targets Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders Skills and experiences: Qualified Solicitor (PQE) or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives Experience of acting for corporate defendants with good analytical and tactical skills Civil litigation experience and good working knowledge of the civil procedure rules and fast track Experience of advising on legal issues within an in-house legal environment or similar Proven experience of managing projects with strong project management skills Commercial approach to litigation Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams Why work for us?
