We are working on behalf of a well-established and highly respected renewable energy operations provider to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join their Repowering team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Our client delivers specialist operations and maintenance services to large-scale utility-scale solar assets across the UK. With a strong track record in technical excellence, data-led asset optimisation, and continuous innovation, they support a broad portfolio of renewable energy clients and are recognised for setting high industry standards.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to take ownership of solar PV repowering and revamping projects from quotation and tender stage through to implementation and close-out.
Based remotely with some site travel you will join a collaborative and technically strong team, supporting clients in upgrading and optimising existing solar PV portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead solar PV repowering and revamping projects from quotation through to delivery, including additional works and post-FAC punch list items.
* Develop and manage detailed project programmes, including planning, coordination, reporting, and oversight of technical and material activities.
* Prepare and manage technical proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
* Liaise with asset management teams to analyse solar portfolios, identifying opportunities such as warranty claims, performance improvements, and technology upgrades.
* Develop revamping design proposals for future project opportunities.
* Coordinate with internal technical (LV & HV up to 33kV), commercial, and procurement functions.
* Establish and manage supplier and subcontractor networks to support delivery.
* Ensure high standards of quality, health & safety, and CDM compliance across all projects.
* Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular technical and commercial updates.
Candidate Profile
We are keen to speak with professionals who can demonstrate:
Proven experience delivering solar PV projects (EPC or project development background advantageous).
Strong technical understanding of the PV industry, including ground mount and rooftop systems.
Experience managing construction and/or additional works projects.
Solid financial and commercial awareness.
Experience preparing technical quotations and managing tender processes.
Knowledge of CDM regulations
Design capability for LV & HV networks up to 33kV.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design software.
Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility to travel nationwide.
