With decades of experience, the business has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-volume operational services, managing the movement of a diverse range of assets and stock on behalf of a broad customer base.Following continued growth and investment, the business is creating a new Transport & Logistics Planner position to support increasing operational demands and further enhance the efficiency of its transport and logistics function.This is an exciting opportunity to join a secure organisation that continues to invest in its people, systems and infrastructure.As Transport & Logistics Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising the movement of a wide variety of stock and assets across a large multi-site network throughout the UK and Ireland. Working closely with operational teams, transport providers and key stakeholders, you will ensure that transport activities are planned effectively, resources are utilised efficiently and service levels are consistently maintained.Key responsibilities will include:Planning and coordinating daily transport schedules across multiple sites.Managing the movement of a diverse range of stock and assets.Liaising with internal departments, external transport providers and operational teams.Monitoring transport activity and proactively resolving logistical challenges.Maximising fleet and subcontractor utilisation while controlling costs.Identifying opportunities to improve transport efficiency, planning processes and service delivery.Producing reports and analysing performance data.Supporting compliance with transport legislation, operational procedures and health & safety requirements.We are keen to speak with candidates who possess:Previous experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, supply chain operations, shipping or fleet management.Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Experience operating within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Strong IT and administrative skills, including experience using planning or logistics systems.A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.Experience working across multiple locations or within a complex operational environment would be advantageous.Additional details:Newly created position with genuine scope to influence and develop the role.Work within a large-scale multi-site operation with varied and interesting logistical challenges.Excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.Supportive and collaborative working environment.Competitive salary and benefits package.Flexibility with WFH.For a confidential discussion regarding this opportunity, please get in touch with Kelsey at Artemis.WHJS1_NI
