We have an opportunity for a Senior Quality Control Team Member to join our team at our Loughton, Essex site. Reporting to the Quality Control FLM, you will be responsible for thorough testing, inspection and auditing, assuring that manufactured products meet the required quality standards. In this role, you will also enable the team to achieve all in-process checks to support achievement of production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support team to achieve departmental and site targets
2. Support Print Gemba walks with Print TL to follow up on QRTs/QIRs, escalate issues & communicate priorities to QC’s – only required to cover QC Team Leader absences
3. Ensure that all checks and supporting documentation as applicable are completed in a timely and accurate manner
4. Liaise with stake holders as necessary to support/escalate quality events and actions
5. In-Process – escalate quality issues, agree containment, ensure relevant notifications are raised & support investigations
6. Final LOTs – escalate failures, mitigate delivery gaps where possible, ensure relevant notifications are raised.
7. Support Customer / Supplier investigations
8. Facilitate shift handovers to ensure effective cross shift communication
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Double Day shift pattern – Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm or 2pm - 10pm (alternated weekly).
From 31st August we will transition to a 24/5 Shift Pattern - consists of 3 crews of 12-hour shifts of either: 6.00 am to 6.00 pm; and 6.00 pm to 6.00 am, Monday to Friday rota. Attendance is 40 hours per week on average, including a 30-minute unpaid break plus a 15-minute unpaid break to be taken during the shift
Base location: Debden
Basic Salary: £43, per annum on Double Days, rising to £46, per annum on 24/5 shift pattern. Upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period, this will rise to £47, per annum.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
9. Excellent PC skills required (incl. MS Office, ERP systems, SAGE, QIS)
10. Good attention to detail, and ability to discern colour
11. Background within a quality focused role
12. Good level of numeracy and literacy
13. Effective and concise communicator
14. Experience in taking / recording results via the use of measuring equipment
15. Problem solving experience preferred
16. Continuous improvement
17. Health and Safety awareness
