Overview
Contractor Control Lead Receptionist role at the UK Defence Academy, Swindon, SN6 8LA. Permanent, full-time. Working hours: Mon–Thu 07:30–15:30, Fri 07:30–15:00. Salary £23,000 – £25,000 depending upon experience. Reporting to the Head of Central Services.
The post holder will ensure contractors are properly inducted and compliant with Health and Safety procedures, and will provide support to the Central Services team to help deliver department objectives.
Responsibilities
* Pre-book arrival of contractors to site via sponsors and conduct a compulsory site induction including a site safety briefing (valid for 12 months).
* Maintain contractor induction records and manage attendance and locations as advised by sponsors (TopDesk system and related forms).
* Ensure contractors sign in/out on commencement and completion of work each day; issue passes and lanyards as appropriate; reconcile post-box and signing-in records.
* Keep daily attendance numbers and update relevant stakeholders; perform spot checks for reconciliation purposes.
* Provide resilience cover for the SSRC and JSCSC Reception teams when required.

* Good general education and excellent customer service skills.
* Professional and engaging communication (spoken and written).
* PC literate with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel essential).
* Strong interpersonal skills; able to work with diverse teams and under pressure; able to work independently or in a team.
* Ability to contribute to innovation, continuous improvement and problem solving; support transformational change.
* Deliver against objectives; self-motivated with a focus on personal development; flexible to change.

MoD Security Clearance
