General Manager – Brand new children's club in Thames Ditton!
Location : Thames Ditton
£33K - £37K plus Bonus structure and fantastic benefits!
Monday - Friday 7:30am - 9am breakfast club and 3 - 6pm after school club. Flexible/hybrid working!
We are recruiting for a brand new wraparound childcare business in the heart of Thames Ditton based in the new Vital village community hub.
Providing before and after school club services that go far beyond childcare, ensuring the time is spent in an enriching way that complements every family's daily routine.

Children will enjoy a range of different activities. These will include a variety of structured activities such as Multi Sports, performing arts, languages and music lessons, as well as stations across the premises offering Arts and Crafts, Book Corners, and so on. Activities will be seasonal and will emphasise sustainability where appropriate!
The environment is designed to foster creativity and self-directed exploration, allowing children to engage in activities they love and develop skills at their own pace. Whether it's imaginative play, quiet reading, or simply enjoying the company of friends, every moment at is filled with possibilities.
A little bit about what you’ll be doing…
As General Manager you will manage all day-to-day aspects of running the clubs, from scheduling, people management, cost control, customer complaints, and creating those wonderful relationships with parents and children.
You’ll set high standards for excellence, delivering top-quality experiences through careful planning. Your team will reflect our values believing in strength of the community and the need to support families as they juggle an ever-growing list of demands. You will strive to create partnerships, build connections, and foster a sense of belonging where kids feel at home and parents and carers feel supported.
Upholding the highest standards of safety in your club and activities. You and the team will be committed to continuous improvement, seeking feedback, embracing innovation, and adapting to evolving needs to ensure we deliver the best possible childcare services.
Managing one team, the dream team. The strength of the team is the strength of the business, you will be dedicated, qualified, and passionate about providing the highest quality childcare. There will be continuous investment in professional development to excel in our roles and aim to integrate the community in our recruitment.
You'll also employ entrepreneurial skills to meet KPIs, build relationships within the community, parents, and team members, and boost profit, all while maintaining unwavering quality.
A little bit about you…
- Level 3 childcare qualified or equivalent is a must have!
- Extensive understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted
- Honest and open communication is a must have! As a new business you must be passionate about working together to make a huge impact and success!
- You have experience of working with 3–11-year olds. And a big kid at heart, and love to have 'responsible’ fun and create meaningful moments for people.
- Management/team leader experience is a must have!
- You have a can-do approach. You think on your feet. Switching up tasks and juggling multiple priorities comes naturally to you.
- You’re comfortable managing your time and can be counted on to skilfully handle feedback and complaints.
- You are driven, people focused and excellent communication skills
- Paediatric first aid is desirable but would be provided
