Geotechnical Engineer Job Overview
Review and interpret geotechnical reports, ground investigation data, and site information
Provide expert advice to tender and project teams on ground risks, methodologies, and mitigation measures
Support planning, design, and temporary works teams with specialist geotechnical input
Liaise with consultants, clients, and site teams to ensure information is accurate, practical, and buildable
Contribute to technical assurance and continuous improvement across the engineering function
Geotechnical Engineer Job Requirements
Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (or related discipline)
Chartered Engineer (ICE, IStructE, or equivalent) desirable
12+ years' experience in geotechnical engineering (consultancy + contractor-side ideal)
Strong technical knowledge of soil mechanics, ground risk assessment, and geotechnical design
Excellent at report review and delivering clear, practical advice
Strong communicator, able to engage confidently with clients, designers, and site teams
Happy with Hours: 8am to 5pm in office
