We are seeking a Head of Finance to spearhead the financial stewardship of a global leader in speciality chemicals and industrial adhesives. This is a high-impact, multi-entity role overseeing financial operations across the UK and Europe.
This is not an entry-level leadership position. We are looking for an elite finance professional—someone commercially astute, analytically sharp, and capable of driving a multi-currency, multi-site financial strategy towards sustained growth.
The Role
As the Head of Finance, you will be the primary architect of our European financial strategy. You won't just report the numbers; you will use them to shape the future of the business. From evaluating M&A opportunities and managing complex CapEx projects to optimising cost efficiencies across multiple jurisdictions, your footprint will be felt across the entire P&L.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Stewardship: Lead the financial strategy for all UK and European entities, providing data-driven insights directly to the Board.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/annual reporting while analysing trends to improve profitability.
* Growth & Investment: Lead the evaluation of investment opportunities, strategic partnerships, and capital expenditure projects.
* Risk & Tax Mitigation: Manage tax planning and navigate financial, regulatory, and operational risks across diverse markets.
The Ideal Profile
* Qualified Expert: CIMA/ACA/ACCA fully qualified not QBE
* Proven Track Record: At least 10 years of senior finance experience, with a minimum of 5 years overseeing multi-entity, multi-country operations.
* Industry Deep-Dive: Significant experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is essential.
* Commercial Sharpness: A history of delivering quantifiable cost savings and margin improvement initiatives.
* Systems Savvy: Advanced Excel modelling skills and proficiency in ERP systems.
