A thriving secondary school in the local area is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a trained HLTA who is passionate about supporting teaching and learning at a higher level.
As an HLTA, you will play a key part in supporting students and staff across the school. You will lead learning activities, deliver pre planned lessons, support targeted intervention work and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
What you'll be doing:
* Deliver pre planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of a teacher
* Support the planning and delivery of targeted interventions for small groups or individual students
* Work alongside teachers to enhance learning experiences and raise attainment
* Provide support in managing behaviour and encouraging student engagement
* Assist with assessment, recording and reporting on student progress
* Build positive relationships with students and act as a role model within the school community
What were looking for:
* HLTA trained and qualified
* Experience working within a secondary school is essential
* Ability to lead learning confidently and manage classroom environments
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A proactive, flexible and supportive approach to working with young people
* DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
