We are working exclusively with a growing alternative asset manager who is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its highly regarded legal team, supporting fundraising, fund structuring and launches across its private markets platform. This is a broad, commercially focused role offering close interaction with senior stakeholders and exposure to complex fund structures and strategic initiatives.
The successful candidate will be working closely with the business, advising on fund structuring, product development and launch activities across private market strategies. In addition, you will be supporting fundraising processes, investor negotiations and fund closings. This role requires strong prior in-house experience given the proximity to investment, finance, operations and distribution teams on strategic and day-to-day legal matters.
Qualifications
* Qualified lawyer with approximately 8+ years' PQE
* Strong private funds experience gained in the funds team of a leading firm and in-house experience gained through a secondment or permanent role, real assets experience would be advantageous.
* Expertise across fund launches, investor negotiations and illiquid asset structures
* Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management experience.
