Overview
Assistant Unit Manager - Children's Residential Services | Lancashire County Council / LNB Commercial Capital (location: Accrington/Lancashire). This role supports the management of residential children’s homes and helps deliver high-quality care and safeguarding for children and young people.
Responsibilities
* Provide management coverage within the home by working core hours of 7am–7pm with alternating shifts (7am–3pm and 11am–7pm).
* Support the Registered Manager in leading a team, ensuring a positive, strength-based culture and high standards of care.
* Engage with social work teams, health, education, police, and community partners to coordinate outcomes for children and young people.
* Contribute to creating a welcoming, compassionate environment and support the ongoing development of staff through supervision, training, and reflective practice.
