About the Role:
We are looking for experienced Children's Support Workers to join a network of leading care providers in Long Eaton and surrounding area's on a temporary basis. In this rewarding role, you will contribute to creating a warm, nurturing environment where young people feel safe, valued, and empowered to live their lives to the fullest. Your efforts will directly impact their well-being and help them thrive in a supportive, person-centred setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Meet the physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural, and safety needs of each young person
* Ability to communicate clearly and calmly, even in high-pressure or emotional situations
* Maintain accurate, clear, and up-to-date records in line with organisational standards.
* Encourage independence and engage residents in activities to promote well-being.
* Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with young people.
* Ensure each young person's needs are being consistently identified and met.
* Regularly review and document changes in needs through effective support planning and risk assessments.
* Adhere to health, safety, and confidentiality policies.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year experience in a Childcare setting
* Experience caring for young people with Learning Disabilities / challenging behaviours / Autism / ADHD
* A caring, compassionate, and empathetic attitude
* Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
* Be able to respond in a calm manner and have emotional resiliance
* Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records
* Flexible approach, sensitive to the needs of young people
* Ability to build positive relationships with young people
* Medication training is beneficial but not essential
* NVQ Level 3 is desirable
* PMVA training is desirable
