We have a great opportunity for a Procurement Assistant within our Medical Technologies. The Procurement Assistant will work as an integral member of the category teams, ensuring procurement processes are managed within identified KPIs. They will support the delivery of the end‑to‑end procurement process for our customers and stakeholders, working to always deliver a high level of customer service and ensuring relationships and processes are managed effectively to achieve overall targets.
Responsibilities
* Achieve specific procurement goals or provide support to others while following established procurement systems and protocols.
* Explore and develop a strong understanding of external developments or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on the organisation.
* Gather and report on information on existing contract performance and provide input to new contract processes.
* Carry out simple contract management tasks.
* Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for analysis of key themes and trends.
* Prepare moderately complex documents using office software.
* Gather and summarise data for reports, extracting relevant information and inputting it into spreadsheets or standard formats.
* Develop working knowledge of the organisation's policies, procedures and relevant regulatory codes, ensuring mandatory procedures are followed to meet required standards.
* Support stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings and events.
* Collect and collate information on key cost drivers, market dynamics, innovation areas and alternative suppliers for senior colleagues to provide solid market information for decision‑making.
* Provide a quality service to customers while identifying opportunities to secure new business or support retention.
* Process cases, deal with complex queries and investigate and resolve customer problems.

Skills and Experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially confidence using Excel.
* Ideally previous experience within a commercial, hospital or medical equipment environment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and concisely.
* Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
* Capable of working without supervision and providing technical guidance when required in data analysis and recommendations.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to express ideas and requests clearly.
