Hays Legal is exclusively instructed with this exceptional Head of Corporateernance role, a wide-ranging role, which is fundamental to the running of this multi-specialism charitable organisation.Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the appointee will be responsible for managing two key divisions of the charity; the Corporateernance and Corporate Support functions. Additionally, the rolees with the position of vice-chair of the Senior Management Team. You will be dealing with the Board, havepany Secretarial responsibilities and ultimate responsibility for theernance functions. Key to the role is to ensure that Board &mittee meetings run smoothly, manage the resultant actions and ensurepletion. You will co-ordinate the continued development and implementation of theernance framework, the appropriate codes and legislation, risk management framework and the annualernance statement, as well as ensuring effective informationernance. Key responsibilities:
1. Stakeholder Engagement – with Trustees, the Executive team & staff
2. Employee Relations – with responsibility for two teams
3. Managing Actions – arising from Board &mittee meetings so that actions are properlymunicated, carried out and closed down
4. Performance Management – ensuring team service levels are met & teams operate effectively
5. Insights – maintaining & updatingernance databases, preparing key documents & presentations for the Board &mittees, developing and presentingernance & risk reports
6. Organisational development – co-ordinating the continued development & implementation of theernance framework and relevant codes & legislation, and supporting the organisation’s growth and development
You will need:
