What you will be doing:
1. Assist in planning and scoping internal audits including drafting Terms of References
2. Execute internal audits in line with the yearly plan across operational, financial and compliance.
3. Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls, policies and procedures
4. Drive improvement of internal processes.
5. Identify operational, financial and regulatory risks and recommend actionable improvements.
6. Review compliance with relevant UK regulations and company policies.
7. Prepare high quality audit reports with clear findings, recommendations and management action plans.
8. Support the Senior Internal Audit Manager with risk assessments, audit scoping and action reporting.
What you’ll bring:
9. 3+ years’ experience in internal audit, ideally in a Financial Services or regulated services environment
10. Highly organised, proactive, efficient, capable and driven
11. Ability to drive audit testing plans to completion.
12. Driven by continuous improvement activity and a desire to strengthen the business.
13. Excellent stakeholder engagement, including stakeholder expectation management.
14. Knowledge and understanding of financial services and regulation / legislation.
15. Ability to comprehend complex data sets and processes.
16. Ability to execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
17. Previous demonstrable experience in a similar audit role
It would be great if you had:
18. Understanding of UK financial services regulation and guidance (, BCOBS, SYSC, FCA Conduct Rules, Consumer Duty and PRIN).
