We are seeking an Assistant Design Engineer (Electrical) to support the delivery of high-quality engineering design across a broad range of rail and infrastructure projects. Under the supervision of a Senior Design Engineer, you will: Provide input into engineering solutions using sound technical principles Support development of design philosophies and clear technical documentation Assist with surveys and site inspections across multiple project locations Produce calculations, sketches, reports, and risk assessments in accordance with standards and best practice Collaborate closely with the Senior and Principal Engineers to ensure projects meet technical and programme requirements Maintain accurate design deliverables, records, and project documentation Develop awareness of construction methodology, CDM, and Safe by Design principles This is a development-focused role suited to individuals looking to build a strong foundation in rail electrical design, with structured guidance and extensive exposure to real-world projects.
