Are you seeking an exciting new challenge in electrical/ controls engineering? Our client, a leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery, is looking for a talented Controls Engineer to join their innovative team.

The Role
As a Controls Engineer, you'll be an integral part of a small, collaborative team, involved in every stage of the machine life cycle-from initial design through to testing and commissioning. You'll need a strong mix of hardware and software skills, including electrical circuit design, variable speed and servo drives, PLCs, and HMIs. The ideal candidate will have the software expertise to lead development and management across a diverse equipment range.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop control systems for bespoke machinery
* Work with electrical circuit design, variable speed drives, servo drives, PLCs, and HMIs
* Lead software development and management for all equipment
* Test and commission machines, ensuring the highest quality standards
* Provide technical support and application guidance to customers
* Occasional travel within Europe and the USA
About You
* Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Experience with special purpose machinery
* Strong software skills and the ability to lead software development
* Experience with variable speed drives, PLCs, HMIs, and safety systems is highly advantageous
* Quick to learn new concepts and relish technical challenges
* Flexible, efficient, and committed to quality and success
