We are currently partnering with a leading manufacturer in the electrical infrastructure sector to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead operations within a large-scale manufacturing facility. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring production efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and continuous improvement. This opportunity would suit an individual who has previously managed complex manufacturing operations within the power distribution, switchgear, electrical infrastructure, or similar heavy engineering environments. As Manufacturing Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of a large manufacturing site, overseeing production teams, operational planning, and performance improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring that production targets, safety standards, and quality requirements are consistently achieved while driving operational excellence across the facility. Roles & Responsibilities Lead and manage all manufacturing operations across a large-scale production facility Drive operational performance, productivity, and cost efficiency Ensure the site consistently meets production schedules, quality standards, and delivery targets Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, operational excellence) Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards Manage, develop, and mentor production managers, supervisors, and shop floor teams Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to optimise manufacturing processes and product quality Monitor and report on KPIs including efficiency, output, scrap, downtime, and operational performance Support capacity planning, investment decisions, and facility growth Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance across the manufacturing team Candidate Requirements Proven experience as a Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, or Production Manager within a large manufacturing environment Background within power distribution, electrical infrastructure, switchgear, transformers, energy equipment, or a closely related sector Experience managing large production teams and complex manufacturing facilities Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, operational improvement, and process optimisation Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and drive operational change Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, quality, and delivery Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Engineering or technical qualification preferred
