Job Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible, and highly motivated Radiographers to join our busy Radiology team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, based at The Princess Royal Hospital (PRH), Telford site. The role includes rotation through the newly created Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) Hollinswood House.
Main Duties of the Job
The successful applicants must hold a BSc (Hon) in Diagnostic Radiography or DCR, possess current HCPC registration, and have significant postgraduate experience, including competency in CT scanning.
These posts are suitable for experienced Radiographers eager to develop their skills. The successful candidates will be integral members of the cross-sectional and general teams, with training supported across all modalities. The role involves participation in a busy general rotation, including on-call duties and 7-day working rosters.
Working for Your Organisation
Our Radiology department has recently undergone extensive equipment upgrades. PRH now features a new Philips Azurion cardiac catheter lab, a Philips fluoroscopy room, four Philips DR general X-ray rooms, and two mobile units. We also have two state-of-the-art Cannon CT scanners and a Siemens 1.5T MRI scanner. The CDC will soon open, housing a new imaging suite with a Cannon CT scanner and Philips DR room.
All Radiographers with over one year of postgraduate experience contribute to training and mentorship of undergraduate students. Our department offers an excellent on-site teaching environment and is committed to role extension, with Radiographers practicing in Ultrasound, Barium Swallows, CT Colonoscopies, and plain film reporting.
The department is dedicated to Advanced Practice development, supported by our Consultant Radiographer and closely collaborating with Consultant Radiologists.
