Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analysing data to support various projects and initiatives within the organisation. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
Duties
* Collect, clean, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
* Conduct thorough data analysis using statistical methods and tools such as R and Python.
* Create visual representations of data using MS Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and other visualisation tools to facilitate understanding of complex datasets.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide insights that support business objectives.
* Develop and maintain databases using Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring optimal database design for efficient data retrieval.
* Manage projects related to data analysis, ensuring timely delivery of insights while adhering to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations that summarise findings, trends, and recommendations for stakeholders.
* Utilise VBA and Bash (Unix shell) scripting for automating repetitive tasks related to data processing.
Skills
* Proficient in SQL for querying databases and performing complex data manipulations.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
* Experience with business analysis techniques to identify opportunities for improvement within processes.
* Familiarity with project management principles to effectively manage timelines and deliverables.
* Knowledge of Visio for creating process flow diagrams or other visual documentation.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
