We are currently representing a leading independent planning and development consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to join its growing Leeds office. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative team on a wide-ranging portfolio of high-profile projects across the UK.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering expert planning advice across sectors including residential, mixed-use, commercial, logistics, and regeneration developments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a variety of planning applications and appeals from inception through to determination
* Providing strategic planning advice to clients and stakeholders
* Preparing planning statements, site appraisals, and supporting documentation
* Managing client relationships and attending meetings with local authorities and project teams
* Supporting junior team members and contributing to business development activities
* Keeping up to date with planning policy and legislative changes
Requirements:
* MRTPI qualified (or working towards chartership with relevant experience)
* Proven experience within a planning consultancy or local authority environment
* Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
* Excellent report writing and communication skills
* Commercial awareness and client-facing experience
* Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
