Registered Nursing Associate (TCU - Neonatal Service) - 28.5 hpw
This role involves a range of responsibilities in neonatal care, including communication, clinical duties, research, education, safety, and managerial tasks. The key responsibilities include:
1. Communication and Working Relationships: Establish effective communication with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies. Maintain clear documentation and ensure confidentiality. Act as a role model and address poor practices.
2. Clinical Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care under supervision. Perform clinical observations, assist with procedures, manage nutrition, and ensure safety and dignity. Use medical devices competently and manage medicines within scope.
3. Research and Development: Practice evidence-based care, participate in audits and research, and contribute to service improvements.
4. Education, Health, Safety, and Security: Contribute to staff and family education, maintain safety standards, participate in training, and uphold safeguarding policies.
5. Managerial Responsibilities: Assist in training, supervise support staff, develop guidelines, and promote quality assurance through audits.
6. Other Responsibilities: Contribute to infection control, maintain records, respect patient confidentiality, and address cultural needs.
The role requires effective communication with various stakeholders and the ability to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts, to ensure continuous patient care.
