Property Development Solicitor - Senior Associate

A leading law firm is seeking a highly skilled Property Development Solicitor at Senior Associate level to join its team. The firm provides expert legal advice across residential and commercial property development, supporting landowners, developers, funders and end-user clients. The Role
The Senior Associate will play a key role in the Property Development team, handling high-value and complex transactions. The role involves managing residential, commercial and mixed-use development projects, overseeing client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers. There is also scope to work alongside the Corporate team and contribute to broader commercial property matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage property development transactions, including site acquisitions, leases, licences, development, collaboration and option/promotion agreements
* Advise clients on residential, commercial and mixed-use development schemes
* Conduct legal due diligence, title investigations and prepare reports or certificates for lenders
* Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support early career development
* Participate in business development, networking and marketing initiatives
About You
* Proven experience in property development law across residential and commercial sectors
* Strong technical skills with the ability to draft and negotiate a wide range of transactional documents: Land acquisition and disposal processes, development, joint venture and collaboration agreements, Infrastructure agreements, wayleaves and construction law fundamentals, title investigations, reporting and Land Registry procedures along with Option and Promotion Agreements
* Excellent commercial awareness and ability to provide pragmatic, strategic advice
* Confident in managing client relationships and handling complex transactions
* Highly organised, proactive and capable of managing a busy caseload
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative, dependable and committed to an inclusive culture
