Crush Operator The Crush Operator will undertake, maintain and oversee the safe and efficient operation of crushing operation at ADM Erith Ltd. Your Responsibilities To ensure the safe and efficient running of the whole Crush Process, responsible for own personal safety and of that of people working in the area. To ensure the safe and efficient running and good product quality of the solvent extraction plant in in liaison with production colleagues and management. To ensure the smooth running and product quality of the seed preparation and expelling processes in liaison with production colleagues and management. To provide cover for the positions of Extraction Operator and Expelling Operator as and when required. To assist with the training & development of new Extraction & Expelling Operators. To ensure Health and Safety, food safety, environmental compliance regulations and company standards are maintained in the Crushing Operation. To ensure all department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently met, and any deviations are promptly investigated and documented in operational logs. To perform small maintenance related jobs and liaise with maintenance department in regards more complex matters. To ensure safe start-up, running and shutdown of plant and machinery in the crushing process areas. Ensure product throughput and quality is maintained to required levels in the crushing process areas. Maintain high standards of cleanliness following GMP guidelines in the production areas. To accurately maintain production process records and paperwork. To liaise with other process departments to ensure the whole process is running smoothly. Report plant machinery issues in Maximo To assist, actively participate and contribute to Performance Excellence initiatives at Erith. Your Profile Excellent safety knowledge in a production environment. Experience in an Oilseeds crushing production department. Educated to GCSE (or equivalent level) with good basic mathematical & English written skills. Good IT skills, able to use email and basic computer packages. Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
