Duties of the Service Advisor
* Greet customers and manage vehicle drop‑offs and collections efficiently
* Accurately record customer requests and vehicle details
* Communicate effectively with workshop teams regarding job requirements
* Keep customers informed on vehicle status throughout the day
* Obtain authorisation for additional work and produce detailed estimates
* Prepare and present customer invoices and related paperwork
* Explain repair work and recommend additional services such as service plans and warranties
* Upsell relevant products and services to enhance customer satisfaction
* Maintain strong customer relationships to promote repeat business
Requirements for the Service Advisor
* Proven experience working as a Service Advisor within the automotive industry
* IT literate; familiarity with DMS systems such as Pinnacle DMS is preferred but not essential
* Customer‑focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Skilled in upselling and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
* Well‑organised, with the ability to manage multiple customer appointments efficiently
* Full UK driving licence, preferably with a clean record
