Job Description
Our client is a leading water hygiene company known for providing specialist water treatment/hygiene and legionella advice and services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a multi‑skilled and self‑motivated Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team based in the Kilmarnock area. The successful candidate will ideally be experienced in delivering routine water hygiene duties as well as undertaking TMV servicing and replacements. Consideration will be given to candidates from Kilwinning, Stewarton, Prestwick, Caldermill and the surrounding areas.
Experience & Qualifications
* Must come from a good educational, chemical and technical background and be fully conversant with the ACOP L8 guidelines.
* Hands on experience delivering water hygiene duties to a varied site base.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Packages.
Responsibilities within the Role
* Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, water softeners, etc.
* Carrying out TMV servicing and replacements as required.
* Monitoring client’s air and water systems and ensuring compliance with current Health and Safety legislation.
* Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold‑water systems and cooling towers.
* Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.
* Accurate recording of results and maintaining and installing dosing systems.
* Providing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork.
* Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients.
Overall, the successful applicant will be commercially focused, flexible and reliable, able to work independently and under pressure, and must be prepared to travel to designated sites as per client’s requirement.
